Versa swimming calories - do they take into account weight?

Hi,

I'm wondering, when I'm tracking calories for swimming with my versa, I wondered if the calories burned take into account weight as well? It seems quite a low number of calories burned on a 30 minute swim as I am quite big at the moment. Is this calculated per person, or just an overall? Thanks

Hey @Kmcm08, it is nice to see new faces around! Fitbit calculates your calories burned during the day based on your BMR, which means your height, weight and gender. If you are an active person, of course that will appear that you burn more calories. The Fitbit devices with heart rate monitor, like the Versa, are pretty accurate in regards of calories burned.

The calories burned will be also taken into your account weight, 'cause based on that, you'll see how much you are allowed to eat based on your food plan to lose the desired weight.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have further questions!
