Versa synced but not receiving notifications

My phone and Versa are actively syncing but I am not receiving any notifications. The fitbit app does not give options to turn notifications on or off for messaging, phone calls, email, or my calendar. Bluetooth is connected, do not disturb is not enabled, and all my app notifications are turned on on my phone. I've gone through the troubleshooting guides and can't figure this out.

If you are using a android phone with a version above 8 or so, follow these steps.

  1. Go to battery settings
  2. Go to Launch option.
  3. There will be all the apps in your phone.
  4. Make sure Fitbit is manually managed with permission to run in back ground.

By default the background processes will be terminated by the OS itself.

I went through this for almost a month ever since I updated my versa through the app. I tried everything that was suggested. I literally just deleted my versa off the app and redid it as if I had a new watch. So far it’s working!

I will try that. I think I didn't do it, as I had just removed it and added
it again before doing the appt update, but will try again.

I have tried that...since my phone did an update the other day, the fitbit was getting text notifications very slowly. Then they stopped altogether. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it; that didn't work. Tried impairing and repairing the device, refreshing bluetooth, and I have been over my settings with a fine toothed comb. Nothing is working to get my texts back. Phone calls, emails facebook messenger, calendar...everything else works.

I seen your solution ...... Did you turn on pair in the music section or "pair"?

Haha...yes I have done that. I have tried everything. Emails come through,
phone calls, calendar events, just not texts. If I change to Facebook
messages in the settings, those come through. Everything except text
messages.

Seems like everybody having same problem with not receiving notifications.  Worked great then just quit working.  Have tried all suggestions and nothing works to fix the problem?  Loved it at first, but not so much now?

Mine does the same thing occasionally. I have to restart my versa or
uninstall app on phone and reinstall and it works, but restarting it
usually solves the problem. Make sure your notifications are on as well on
the versa and the app.

Thank you so much for posting this! I was just like you & getting so frustrated with trying all the suggestions & nothing working. Your post was the first time I had seen or heard of the quick settings. Tried it, found all of my settings to be messed up, fixed them & now everything is back to normal! Thank you, thank you, I was so frustrated with nothing working!

This fix does not work. Uninstalled & Installed app.  Restarted phone & Fitbit.  Notifications on.  Blue tooth started & stopped.  Nothing works.  Come on FitBit, find solution.  I have a Versa Lite.  Worked at first the stopped.  Nothing works??

I’ve done all of that for my iPhone XS. And I still can’t get text messages. I’ll get the call notification but not texts.

If I have a problem not receiving notifications, I reboot my iPhone or iPad, and suddenly I get a ton of notifications (including messages)on my Versa. Good luck with this!
