Versa synced but not receiving notifications

My phone and Versa are actively syncing but I am not receiving any notifications. The fitbit app does not give options to turn notifications on or off for messaging, phone calls, email, or my calendar. Bluetooth is connected, do not disturb is not enabled, and all my app notifications are turned on on my phone. I've gone through the troubleshooting guides and can't figure this out.

im having the same problem!  my watch is only 4 months old.  I have contacted fitbit costumer service 3x over the past 6 weeks. They tell me they are working on it.  Very frustrating I have been a fitbit costumer since 2014. Perhaps it is time to look at an apple watch.  Very unimpressed with the customer service at fitbit

They've been "working on it" for almost 4 months now. They're so worried about it that they've failed to do anything so far, be it to roll back to the last working firmware or push an update that fixes the issue. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Clearly, they don't care about fixing the issue and only about selling their dumbed down Versa Lite to unsuspecting consumers. Needless to say, the Versa will be my last Fitbit product as it's clear the company doesn't give one ounce of worry about their current customers, only about selling hardware that fails in under a year, at which time they don't stand behind their warranty.

Good luck.

I am a Verizon user and discovered that the Message+ app that I was using as my texting app was the problem. I changed the message app on my phone and I have had no problems since. With that said, my phone is trying to update AGAIN and with that comes problems every time.

Try AmazFit Bip watch. Less expensive and works as advertised.

Update: I echo your comments. That’s been my experience as well. I’ve been waiting longer than six months for a return call from their technical department to advise me how to fix the problem. It is useless to contact them when they make such empty promises.

That's exactly what I'm wearing on my wrist right now. I'd always wanted to try one, but this debacle convinced me to try it. Sure enough, it works perfectly, and the fitness tracking is spot on. For $70-$80, it's an absolute steal. Also reminds me of my Pebble that I loved so much.

Welp, I'm horrified to announce that I too had the same problem. I did EVERYTHING to figure out this dang problem. I have never turned off my notifications on the side button, and I come across your comment and boom, mine was toggled off. My hero.

@SunsetRunner

Good grief.

Thank you for this!! I was reading your post and thought the same. Did I turn off notifications, of course not. I would know if I did that. What is this person talking about ......................... follows steps and sees my notifications “off”

Ha! Thanks for a good laugh and a fix to my issue!

I’m convinced this latest update flipped them off! You’re now like the 5th person that’s said ‘I didn’t turn them off, but I went there and they were off!!’

Glad this helped you too! I was going INSANE not being able tot figure this out myself.

@Mamabearski  Glad it worked

@melodie_621  I think the updates must send some settings back to default so always best to re-check them 😊

I’m not sure why you keep saying you are glad the steps work for me. None of these are recommended solutions have work for me.

Denial.

If they smile and act like everything is fine, then only the people that somehow accidentally turned off their notifications themselves are grateful. The rest of us are left to fend for ourselves and they never have to fix anything.
