Versa synced but not receiving notifications

My phone and Versa are actively syncing but I am not receiving any notifications. The fitbit app does not give options to turn notifications on or off for messaging, phone calls, email, or my calendar. Bluetooth is connected, do not disturb is not enabled, and all my app notifications are turned on on my phone. I've gone through the troubleshooting guides and can't figure this out.

So I am normally really good at working technology but my Versa isn’t getting my phone notifications. I repaired Bluetooth, I reset it lots of times, I turned notifications on and off, I turned vibrate on strong, I tried everything I possibly could and it’s not working!

That's not the issue here. The issue is notifications stop being pushed from the phone to the watch. I realize there are some out there that have somehow accidentally turned off notifications by long pressing the left side button, but that's user error. This is a legitimate software issue and it's something Fitbit needs to fix. Now.

But, whatever. I've since moved on to the Apple Watch, so they've lost me as a customer anyway.

I’ve done that but still no notifications. Fitbit customer support / technical support was not “supportive” at all.

After lots of different tries & lots of frustration I was finally able to get my Versa Fitbit notifications to work!
There is an on/off option on the FB itself.
Push the single button on side of FB (displays clock) & hold it down for a few seconds. Notifications & the Screen Wake setting options will appear. Touch screen to turn Notifications ON!
Good luck & hopefully this will fix it for you too😀

Ok, once more for the people in the back that didn't hear the first 3,284 times it's been said...

The issue isn't the notifications being turned off via the left side button menu!

For those of you that have just discovered this menu, congratulations. How you've managed to turn them off without knowing it exists is beyond me. But, good for you for fixing it on your own (even though that's been mentioned on every notification thread for the last month).

The issue is deeper than just user error. The 3.0 update has screwed up notifications being pushed to the watch. The watch is still connected to the phone and your health data is still being tracked, but notifications simply aren't being pushed to it.

What we need is a software update to fix the issue.

Well stated. I too am frustrated. I really like the watch design. I just wish it would deliver my messages. The technical reps at Fitbit aren’t any help. The too keep telling me to push the left side button for 3 seconds, and turn “on” notifications. I’ve done that so many times it’s ridiculous. Why would they even design a watch that doesn’t function as promised? Did anyone at Fitbit test the device before selling them?

I get your frustration and I wish Fitbit would recognize this and sort it out for people that are having the usury, but for some people it is just the notifications on the Fitbit itself. Having a go at people is not really solving anyone’s problem!

Don’t give up !
If your notifications are on, on the Fitbit, check your settings on phone. There is more than one place to turn notifications on & off, settings on phone (under notifications -you’ll see a list of apps. Choose Fitbit & turn on there and, turn on, on Fitbit app settings (not dashboard) click on the Fitbit icon upper left corner - turn notifications on that screen also.
I hope you figure it out. It took me a few days (due to frustration level)

I receive notifications for a while, and then just no notification at all and I have to restart fitbit to get notification again... it just happens every day...

I have tried all of the steps, multiple times. I still do not receive messages on my Fitbit Versa. Every now and then I receive an email message which may be several weeks old. That’s all I get. Fitbit should either fix the problem, or refund everyone’s money.
