Versa takes a long time to sync/pair/transfer music.

Just bought my Versa yesterday and was very excited to try it.

However, much to my disappointment, everything takes forever to load/prepare/connect and still fails after the whole lot of waiting.

The wifi disconnects every now and then and I have to repeat the whole slow process of waiting for the connection over and over again.

The fitbit computer app (for windows 10) lags often (always stuck at preparing until I restart the thing). It says it syncs with the watch but can never detect it for any of the apps.

Music is only able to download through pandora or deezer because the personal music could never connect. And even when downloading through deezer, because of all the disconnects, up till now it is still at 0%. (my computer is connected through LAN to my router which is right beside me as I leave my Versa charging right beside it as well)

Have more than half my mind to refund both versas (the other for my wife). Any reasons why I should not? (Was seeing all the good reviews on it, yet when I use it there were so many issues) I really do hope this is solvable.

Hello @CasualInsanity, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experiences with us. I understand you're having trouble syncing with your Versa and transferring music to it. If you're experiencing trouble syncing with a Windows 10 computer, I would like to suggest you to try using a mobile device such as a cellphone or a tablet and the Fitbit app. If you're still having trouble syncing or the syncing is too slow, please check the following:

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, since when have you experienced this issue? Which tracker are you currently using? Have you restarted your tracker and your phone already? If so, I would like to suggest you to check the following:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

Now, when it comes to transferring music, besides making sure your Versa is connected to WiFi and having it plugged in to your computer, make sure to turn off the Bluetooth of any device nearby as this might interfere with the transfer. The Versa transfer music over Wi-Fi but it still needs a Bluetooth connection with the device you're currently using. If your laptop has native Bluetooth, try resetting it before transferring music again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I am also unable to download music.  I have tried serveral days in a row and never get anywhere. In the help files it says to look at see what WIFI I have connected.  I have a dual router  2.4 and 5GHz.  I do not know how to look on my fitbit app on my phone to see which one is active.  In the help files it says to look at the dashboard on the phone and tap the top right icon for account and then tap on WiFi.  When I tap on account there is no WiFi option.  I have looked EVERYWHERE and checked every thing.

I have changed the phone and computer to each several times and tried to get the music to load.  No go.  If I try to move songs from ITunes to the music section it does not let me.  I have gone into iTunes several times and changed the  edit settings to share music libray with other apps.  Still nothing....Help please.

I’m having the same problem. I purposely bought a new laptop with windows 10 so I can use everything on my versa 2. I don’t want to only use my phone or notebook. Because everything is not available on the phone app. You need the app on windows 10 to use everything. I’m about to return this and get a iwatch at least I know they work
