Versa tracked a high amount of steps

I've had my Fitbit since December and it has now twice counted a ridiculous numbers of steps when I've not been moving. Today it was 39000 steps in 15 mins. 

 

Any idea why this might be happening?

Hi @Lauragay, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is tracking a high amount of steps. I totally understand how you feel about this.

 

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains why your Versa may track extra steps. Finally, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if the issue doesn't happen again.
