I have measured a mile for me in steps several times that a half dozen different tracks. It is almost exactly 2,500 steps for me to walk a mile.
However my Versa is reflecting that a mile for me is 3,000 steps.
I have specified my stride length in the settings. Are there any other settings that I need to modify?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @TraceeB. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I am glad to assist you with your concern regarding your Fitbit Versa tracking the distance accurately. Thank you for providing the additional details and letting me know that you have specified your stride length in the settings. I appreciate your time and efforts. If you feel that your distance is inaccurate, please confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Fitbit devices calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps and walking stride length. Similarly, your running steps are multiplied by your running stride length. For more information about accuracy of Fitbit devices, please see this help article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?
Keep me posted on the outcome.

Thank you for the recommendations. I did some trial and error and found something interesting.
When using my treadmill, the Versa tracks the steps accurately but not the mileage.
When not on the treadmill, the Versa tracks my steps and the mileage correctly.
I would have thought it would be the same (based on steps) but it is not, at least not in my experimentation.
Thank you again,
Tracee
