Versa tracks a high amount of extra steps

I am on my third versa light. This one is about two months old. Mostly it’s fabulous, but it counts stupid amounts of steps ever since I first put it on. I haven’t found any way to adjust settings to make it get close to realistic. It’s so far off, it might as well not count steps at all. Any suggestions? Thanks.

@JayNispel It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I totally understand how you feel about the huge amount of steps that your Versa 2 is tracking.

 

I'd like you to restart your Versa 2 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains why your Fitbit device may track extra steps.

 

Finally, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.
