I manually turn my Fitbit off by going to settings—about—-shutdown. My Fitbit proceeds to shut off. I began to notice after it completely shuts down it will turn back on all by itself. I haven’t touched any of the buttons on the side of the Fitbit. I Turn my Fitbit off. I put it down. And I look at it and the green sensor light is turning on trying to read a heart rate? Not sure why this is happening. I noticed one time, I only brushed my finger on the back of the Fitbit, after shut down, over the sensor and it proceeded to turn on.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Jen5454.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about your Fitbit Versa turning on by itself after the manual shutdown. Thank you for providing the additional details. I would like to confirm if you see only the green sensor light turning on or the screen of your watch as well? Please know that it is expected behavior for the green light to continue flashing even if the watch is turned off.
I'll be around.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. By “blue flashing lights” I think what you’re talking about is the blue Fitbit symbol. For me it’s not just the blue Fitbit symbol that displays on start up flashing but It completely REBOOTS. It doesn’t not shut down.
The option should be renamed since it does not actually “shut down” It reboots. A bit misleading in my opinion. When I want to SHUT DOWN something I don’t want it to REBOOT.

I can tell you I am having the same problem. We are going to settings>>>about>>>shutdown. The device should stay off, instead it reboots itself.
