Versa-unable to read text messages on watch

I have changed my settings to allow for messages. I get a notification the watch that I have a message, but when I click to open the message, it does not allow me to read it. It worked flawlessly with my old samsung, but I switched to a galaxy s10+ and now encounter this issue.

Hi @HollyN11 As you have just changed your phone it is likely a setting on your phone. Go to the phone's settings app and to Lock Screen. Scroll down to Notifications and check they are turned on. Hopefully that will fix it.
