Versa unable to sync on iPhone

Hi Fitbit Community,

My Versa has not been able to sync for 2 weeks now, the Fitbit app says that my iPhone Bluetooth is off when it is clearly turned on. I'm using an iPhone 6. My iPhone Bluetooth is able to connect to other devices without any issues and while syncing my Versa, I made sure no other devices were connected to my iPhone's Bluetooth. I have also updated my Fitbit app to its latest version (11 Jul 2018) as well. I've attempted some troubleshooting solution such as turning the versa off and on, turning my iPhone on and off, turning the Bluetooth off, waiting 10 seconds and turning it on again, etc.

I called up Fitbit support and tried Fitbit chat, the staff were lovely but weren't able to help me. One staff suggested i do a factory reset and remove the versa from my Fitbit app account, which I did. I then forced closed the app and tried turning the Bluetooth off and on again, and now I am completely unable to set up the device at all with the error message 'Please turn on Bluetooth to Fitbit to connect to accessories'.

I now have a completely useless Versa (as it is not set up after factory reset) while I wait for 'higher support' to contact me within 24-48 hours, and I am not optimistic that they are able to help either.

Anyone having the same problem? I'm 100% convinced that the problem lies with the app and not the Versa, as the app itself is unable to detect that my iPhone's Bluetooth is turned on. My mate who is using a charge HR and iPhone 5 SE is having the exact same problem as well. One Fitbit staff mentioned that android phones are having issues but assured me that iPhone users are not facing any problems.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks!

It is great to see you here @dynatmite.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If you are having issues syncing your Versa, I recommend taking a look at the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provide there. If after these steps you keep having issues, please wait for our support team reply, I know they will provide you with a solution.

Keep me posted. Smiley Happy

Try pressing the left button and the right bottom button at the same time. Hold it till the fitbit icon appears. I had similar issues, did this and managed to get my versa synced on my app on iPhone
