Versa user wondering if Versa 2 has fixed the step counter

I am a current Versa user and have been for a while.  I am wondering if the new versa has fixed the step issue, while either riding a motorcycle or driving in a car.  I have posted in the past that I got over 10k steps driving from Sacramento to LA in a car.   Also I have gotten over 40k steps driving 200 miles on a motorcycle(yes I have the auto detect for bike turned off, long ago).  I love the comments in the past when they state the difference was negligible.  Not sure how they figure that out.

I am not really interested in having an assistant on my wrist, was hoping they have worked on the application.  A bit larger watch face now that I am getting older wouldn't  be a bad thing.

Reading thru some of the questions I never see this being asked.  If that hasn't been fixed, then I don't see the point of spending any more money on an inferior product.

I've seen no mention of this in the press release or marketing for the Versa 2 but it does seem that it is using the same sensors as the Versa so I would not expect there to be any changes. As it's due to start shipping in the next couple of weeks it shouldn't be long before we get some real-world feedback.
