Versa versus open water

Hi there!

 

I was looking for the way to use Versa on the open water. The solution I found is to put my phone in the dry bag and start my swimming exercise as "running". It kinda works, but I cannot change exercise type to the swimming because GPS is not allowed for the swimming. And that's kinda disappointing. Not saying I can't have some useful swimming metrics with that approach.

 

Can you please do something with it? I am, for sure, not the only person trying to use Fitbit for open water swimming. So, please, give us any ability to track that kind of activity.

I think it would be great to have more water activities for Fitbit Versa. I took the liberty and searched for a request like this but didn't find any. Please feel free to visit our feature suggestions board and share your ideas.

I have this problem too. So far I have just accepted my Fitbit Verda will only work for my pool swims and not OWS but going to give the drybag a go tonight . Such a shame as other this am a Fitbit fan. Will report back for the other OWS swimmers out there
