Versa vs the Technogym Elliptical: calorie counting and average bpm

Today I used my Versa for the first time on a Technogym Elliptical. The Versa correctly picked up automatically that I was on the machine for 25 minutes. However, Versa said calories burned were 228, while the elliptical said 145. And Versa said average BPM were 136, while the machine said 113.

Which is right? Or is either for that matter?

The machine has a hard time picking up my pulse for some reason, and frequently doesn't manage to do so until half way into the session, or sometimes not at all.

I made a point of keeping my left hand on the moving elliptical arm at all times, assuming that it would therefore pick up each stride correctly.

Thanks

@KmgJay I do not know your profile data (gender, weight, age, height) as all of this plus heart rate data and workout intensity will impact your total calorie burn for that time period. I would definitely trust Fitbit here as this looks about right. Please remember machine give you some average estimates for people of certain weight. It does not know your profile like Fitbit and cannot measure your HR well either. When I'm using elliptical at the gym, the HR on the machine is way off. Between 60 and 220... Yeah right. LOL.

Thanks Marmaduke. Sorry for the delayed response. The site didn't tell me anyone had responded, or I didn't notice.
