Versa, when I touch to open the message it disappears

I recieve meassage on my versa but when i touch to open the message it disappears and and responds, "you're all caught up."

Hi, maybe I'm wrong, but the Versa let's you know that you have received a new notification, just to tell you that you have to go to your mobile device and not to read it/open it on the Versa. So as the word says notifications only notify you. Hope I'm right with that. Good luck.
