Hi I have been swimming with my Versa on for the last 3 weeks or so and never had an issue. It is about a year and a half old and I swam with it last summer too. But yesterday it went totally black about an hour after swimming (I dried it out).
we put it in rice for an hour to see if it was too wet and then it booted back up on the charger but then in the middle of he night it went black and it is now completely dead. I left on the charger for a few hours and nothing happened.

what is wrong? Can I fix it at all?

charger DOES work because we have another Versa on it now that it charging.

If water did get into it, I would leave the tracker on a sunny window.. A car in bright sunlight would be to hot.

It may take a week or two to dry out. My brothers phone took a month.

Putting it on the charger so soon, may just cause more damage.

Yeah I don’t get how something that’s waterproof was so damaged by the
water. I looked at it more closely and saw water droplets on the inside
where the heart rate monitor is. After 2 days in rice there is not
progress. I ordered an Apple Watch instead 😞

Nobody ever said your Fitbit or Apple watch was waterproof.

At best, they are water resistant within limitations.
