Versa will not turn on unless its on the charging station

Put my Versa on the charging station last night. Fully charged this am. Screen will not turn on at all. I already tried doing the reset with the left button and the down button. That did nothing. I also tried holding down all three buttons for 1 minute. Still nothing happened. I can put the watch on the charging station and see t that it is powered at 100%. How to fix this?

Update: when I take it off the charger the screen does come to life. I have tried to do a reset when the screen comes to life. Nothing seems to happen. After 15 to 20 minutes the screen goes black and will not respond again unless I put it on the charger.

@af0126 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it turns off after 15-20 minutes. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Please try changing the clock face.to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if your watch remains turned on as it should.

In addition, please try the tips listed in this help article. These tips are helpful in order to improve the battery life of your watch.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

The same thing is happening to my Fitbit Versa too. I've tried those things as well and still nothing.

I opened a support ticket, because none of the reset steps seemed to work.

They said that they can see logfiles that I have an insufficient power source for the charging.

Now I'm charging with USB.

Here's the next steps they recommended:

Change to a Fitbit watchface instead of 3rd party.

Please perform the battery drain test so we could examine your Versa's battery life.

To do so, please follow the below.

Fully charge your tracker again for about an hour or two using a different power source and make sure that it's plugged into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL(CE)-certified USB wall charger. As for your reference, you may also check it from this link https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1799

Once it's fully charged, please consider and disable the features that could drain the battery from this link: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2004

Then manually sync it right after you unplug the tracker and keep syncing it regularly (every four hours interval) so we can get a connection report of your tracker's behavior until it fully depleted.

When your tracker's battery reaches zero again, please do contact us back and we look forward to helping you get back on track.

The annoying thing, is that:

I have not changed my watch face since I got the Versa in May.

I got the Versa in May! It's only 5 months old!

I really really really miss my Pebble.  😞
