I thought I would share what I was informed a few days ago by Fitbit support. Even thought we research the compatibility of digital devices that are compatible with the phones we own makes little difference in the Versa case. On Fitbits own site it states the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is supported with Android 4.4 OS and above. Even as today it states that. Well don't go by that, their Upper Level Support advise me that only Android 6.0 and above is supported. I sent days trying to get my Versa to work only to find this out. Even worse the website has not been updated so others won't fall victim to this. After some back and forth Fitbit agreed to refund the purchase price if the retailer won't. I appreciate that but feel somewhat disappointed my wife's gift must be returned. I could pay $700 for a new phone plus the price of the Vera but for what it still may not work.

Hi, I totally agree with you, updating their websites is not the strongest issue by Fitbit. But what do you mean by this: "I could pay $700 for a new phone plus the price of the Vera but for what it still may not work."?

Hi, now it's clear for me. I'm on Android 9, e.g. Pie and it works fine, so why should it not work with 6?

@SunsetRunner may I ask you what version Android so you have? I can't see where it was stated.
I'm also not sure what has been tried.
Have you cleared the phones cache or at least the cache of the Fitbit App?
Have you restarted the phone? Android still has a memory management problem?
Interesting @SunsetRunner I see posts where people insist that Fitbit will not work on version 9. It looks like you don't believe them.
