Versa won't charge even after purchasing a new charger

My Versa stopped charging all of a sudden, I put the watch on the charging dock, I saw the red battery on the watch screen, then all of a sudden it stopped charging, and got very warm.  I cleaned the pins on the watch and the charging dock, still would not charge.  I then went and purchased a new charging dock thinking the one that I had broke or stopped working.  The watch has been on the new docking station, but is not charging, and not getting any signals.
