Versa won't charge or recognize swimming

Since I got the Versa about a month ago, I've made sure to charge it only when the battery was low.

Charged it last night and less than 24 hours later, it went dead while I was swimming.

Now it won't charge at all.

I've checked the connection on both the watch and tracker and they are clean and attached properly. The wall socket is also working fine.

This is very disappointing.

Please could I quickly get some assistance.

I'd bet it's not a charging issue so much as water damage that killed your watch. It's not an uncommon problem, check out this thread for similar issues: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Fitbit-Versa-not-working-after-swim/m-p/2942030#M46261.

I think your best bet is to call support, and press them to give you a replacement. Jury is still out whether or not the replacement has been at all updated to address the water resistance/ swim proof-ness. There has been no definitive answers, at least that I can get, so you'd have to decide if swimming with your watch, and potential continued problems + time wasted dealing with them, is worth it or not for you. I just received my 2nd watch, and others are on their 3rd, but many have given up hope that it will work in the pool altogether.
