Hello @JonnyB68 and @Rbr90, your participation here in the Community Forums is appreciated.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, your effort troubleshooting your devices before posting over here are also appreciated. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or are your devices completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation.
I'll be here if further assistance is needed, please keep me posted.

There is nothing flashing at all on the device and I've been through the trouble shooting and tried a restart but nothing

@JonnyB68 @Rbr90 You can check a few things to determine the fault by using a PC to charge it.
To see what's happening with the charge
Connect the charge cable to the watch and plug it into a PC USB port
The PC should announce a connected device with a sound, it means its connected and charging [if there is no sound, either the volume on the PC is low, or off, or the watch is not properly connected to the charger or has a fault]
if the PC then announces a disconnected device with another sound, it means the watch battery is either flat or the watch is dead - this may occur repetitively until the watch comes on or is charging.
anyway wait 10 minutes [for battery to get to 5%] if the watch or battery is not dead it will announce device connected again evenetually [the watch may also wake up]
if after an hour there is nothing on the watch face try starting it by pressing a button for a few seconds and waiting for the logo to appear or restarting with the buttons
if nothing comes on the screen, either there is a screen or button fault or the watch is dead - but wait
Check the button start procedure to make sure you are actioning it properly, and that the button clicks |
If the watch keeps connecting and disconnecting from the PC incessantly then the watch probably can't charge or be used.

I've done all these things you mentioned , when I connect it to a laptop it makes the connected sound but then just repeatedly makes the disconnected and connected sounds , I know it's not the charger cable as it charges my husband's versa 2 perfectly

@Rbr90It means most likely the watch is faulty.
Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I have tried all the suggestions in the article and nothing is working. My Fitbit is only a year old and in very good condition

@Blueyes24 What does it do when connected to a PC?
Do the lights on the back flash?
Did you do a factory reset at some point?
If so that may have destroyed it?

I have had the same issue today and can't get the watch to work again, very annoying and is getting me to consider replacing it with a garmin!

Hi , I have this same issue, my versa 2 will not charge or switch on, please can you advise? None of the above show, the watch is completely dead. My fife has a versa 2 and that charges fine so it’s not the charger
many thanks in advance, marc

A year and a half old Versa 2 replaced my Alta by Fitbit. Now won't turn on or charge all of a sudden. Tried numerous plugs and chargers and even the computer. No luck. I think it's time to move on to a more reliable type of fitness tracker. Ridiculous that I have to keep replacing them and hassles with Fitbit support.
