I’m having exact problem as the post before me, will not charge. Cleaned post, tried to do a restart, still dead ... called support, sending new face. I'd still like some ideas on how to get it going?

Check out THIS Help Article on charging issues. There might be something there that helps (though if Support is sending you a new one they probably ran you through all these ideas)

I am glad to hear that you will be receiving a new watch, at the moment of receiving it, I recommend taking a look at the help article How do I set up my Fitbit device? and follow the instructions there to set it up.
