Versa won't connect to my phone's Bluetooth anymore

My Versa smart watch stopped syncing. It will also not power off. I removed it from my app to reinstall but it can’t be found. So whilst it is working, my data won’t sync. Any ideas?

Hi there, @bollinger. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa is still not connecting with your phone. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this!

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Regarding your Versa not turning off, please try the following:

  1. On your watch, open the Settings app > AboutShutdown confirm the shutdown.
  2. To turn your watch back on, press the back button.

Thank you for your email, the instructions are very helpful. However, the
back button on my watch is not working so I am reluctant to shut the watch
down via settings in case I can’t restart it. 😟 Only one that seems to
respond is the bottom button.

Same issue here, it pairs ok but then won't sync at all despite all the usual tricks to make it do so.

I had a very helpful message earlier with instructions to uninstall apps
and reinstall etc and then power off phone and restart. But my restart/back
button has stopped working. I guess it is quite an old model but the one
that has lasted me the longest out of 4! So just going to keep using it for
now to monitor steps, calories and 10 out of 10s but won't be able to see
my sleep or exercise stats. Then I'll buy a cheap alternative brand from
Amazon!
