Versa won't connect with LG V20

Hi, I just bought the fitbit versa special edition. Ive been trying to connect it for 2 days now. I just seen that LG V20 phone might not be compatible. Is this true? Just thought I'd double check before I return it.

@Iya81 I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'd like to welcome you to our Fitbit Community. Regarding your inquiry, I'm afraid that the LG V20 is not in the supported devices list. This may be the reason why your Versa is not connecting with it.

 

However, I'd like you to give your vote to this Feature Suggestion which requests compatibility of this device. The more this request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.

I'm pretty upset. I've used my fitbit with the lg v20 with no issues for over a year.  I did the last update from fitbit and now I cant sync.  I called customer support only to be told my phone is not compatible. That is ridiculous. It worked fine prior to the update.  Just trying to get me to upgrade device when there is nothing wrong with my versa!  I see many comments on this. Why hasn't the LGv20 been added to the compatibility list?

I have an LG V20 as well & my tracker worked fine before the updates as well. Now, nothing. I deleted it from the app & it won't find it. Just says "connecting". I've had so many issues after the update. The V20 may not be a "supported device" but it definitely isn't a phone issue. It's an app OS issue.

Yes, that is exactly what happened too me. Just got stuck on connecting. Could not get it to work. Just ended up getting a new phone. I got a v40 this q. So far no issues.

I got mine to work again. I did a system reset on my Versa & now it seems to be working fine as far as I can tell. I'm thinking anytime the app updates, a system update will need to be done on the tracker. While that did help, it is annoying that I'll lose anything personal on my tracker; but I consider it a small price to pay as I was nearly ready to just give my Fitbit away. I've had my LGV20 for over 2 years now & I wasn't upgrading for a Fitbit. My phone works fine so I'm keeping it.
