Versa won't connect with my Android P phone

Hello, 

First time Fitbit Versa user here. Just got my watch and have tried several times to connect it with my Pixel 2XL (currently running the Android P Beta OS), but every time I connect the Versa to the watch, nothing happens and I get back to the menu where it asks to add new device. 

Please help!

I have tried to uninstall-install several times, as well as restarting the cellphone, and still no luck!

All of you who facing this problem has to downgrade your Android P to 8.1 or to the latest version. I had the same issue, android p caused the problem. I have a pixel 2 xl and after the downgrade my versa started to work as it should

Same exact issue here.....I finally just reverted back to Oreo. I loved P, but had a few too many issues with different apps to continue using it. As soon as I switched back to Oreo, the connection issue went away.

Love P as well, really trying not to go back. Hoping someone else has found
a way around this.

Will submit feedback to the P beta, see if they can help.

I have a Pixel 2 XL running Android P Beta, and my Versa and Fitbit app work perfectly!

Note: I installed the Fitbit app and set up the Versa while I was still running Oreo last month.
