So in setting up my Versa it asks to connect to Wifi, it starts searching and says an error occurred please try later. Doesn't find any wifi network. I have restarted the Versa, restarted the setup process with the same error. I continued setup without wifi but I am gonna have to enter it eventually. Any ideas whats wrong? I have 2.4ghz and 5ghz it doesn't find either even when standing beside the router

I set it up on an iPhone after android failed to find anything, found wifi etc all fine, so its finishing setup now. Will be interesting to see if the android app works when its finished.

Hi, my advice, whilst setting up the Versa for the first time, to skip the WiFi cause either it takes too long or does not find your network. WiFi can always be setup later. Go to the Fitbit app and the page were Clock Faces are shown. Scroll down to WiFi settings and click it. It goes to the page where your network should be shown. When it's there, click on it and enter manually the password of your router (mind you, it's Capital sensitive). If no network is present at all, press "add network" and enter manually the name and password of your router. Once Fitbit has found your network, you will see it and on the right side of it a white icon, press that icon and Fitbit starts connecting to your network. When you're connected the icon will turn from white to blue and it will say "connected". If you want your Versa to be connected also, make sure the Versa is in the charger and connected to your PC. The Versa itself does not have WiFi itself, but uses the one of your Mobile Device, e.g. your Home network. Good luck!

Hi, this is normal when setting it up for the first time. Can sometimes take up to more than an hour. Future updates will be faster as you can use your WiFi instead of BT.

I left mine overnight to update and nothing had happened. I started over 3 times before giving up.

Hello kuzibri
I'm having the same problem. I am trying to do an update and when I go to the Fitbit App to download, it says it can't find my Versa. Would you be able to help?
Thank you.

Hi Dutch53, are you talking about updating to the latest FM version .30? If yes, follow the instructions in the first post of this topic: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Hassle-free-updating-to-the-latest-Firmware-version/td-p/31340... . Good luck.

Hi, maybe a stupid question, but was during the process your Versa in the Charger and connected to PC?

Nope, I wasn't. And not a stupid question! But I reinstalled the Fitbit app on my phone, disconnected the bluetooth on my PC (not sure what that had to do with my wifi, but that's what the Fitbit Chat agent told me to do), and restarted my Versa, and suddenly the update was completed! Go figure!

I think that what the Fitbit agent was trying to say that once you have your PC's BT on, it will go and search for the Versa and will be added to the BT devices list.
