Versa won't hold a charge and screen won't swipe

My Versa Lite is not maintaining a charging, the screen is glitching and delayed or not responding to swipes. I have had this device for less than a year.

@alisahunter, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa Lite since it won't hold a charge and the screen won't respond to swipes.

Please restart your Versa Lite as described in this help article. After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face. Regarding the battery draining issue, follow the tips that are listed in this help page in order to improve the battery life of your watch.

Finally, monitor your smart watch behavior and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I have the same issue with my Versa.  This unit is over 2 years old and it just started behaving this way.  I've rebooted, restarted multiple times with no change, so I did a factory reset.   Nothing has worked. The screen starts on its own even though I have it set to manual, and as soon as the 10 seconds is reached for time out, it shuts off and immediately turns on.  As a result the battery life is only hours.  Screen sensitivity is poor as well and doesn't respond to down swipes.

Hi @jaa4561, thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community. I appreciate the time spent trying to get the screen issue resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know if the factory reset was performed as listed below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit,

Let me know how it goes.
