The battery is now down to a 36hr charge. It's in the charger more than it's on my wrist! It's only 5 months old! I followed the charging instructions and battery preservation tips did not help, I haven't changed anything, for the first 5 months my battery lasted about 5 days, now only 1 1/2 days. What's going on?

The warranty is different depending where you purchased your Fitbit.
If it was Europe it is 2 years, Everywhere else is one year.

Thank you for confirming that you already tried the suggested steps @bradwi. I've gone ahead and sent your information to the Customer Support team for further assistance, so you should be getting a reply soon.
@JeJersey, the warranty period is of 1 year from the date of purchase, except that if you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) and you purchased your Fitbit product in the EEA, the warranty period is two 2 years. You can check the complete warranty policy here as well.
I recommend you continue the communication with the Support team so they go ahead and review your warranty status.
Let me know if you have further questions.
