Versa won't hold a charge

The battery is now down to a 36hr charge. It's in the charger more than it's on my wrist! It's only 5 months old! I followed the charging instructions and battery preservation tips did not help, I haven't changed anything, for the first 5 months my battery lasted about 5 days, now only 1 1/2 days. What's going on?

My 8 month old versa doesn’t even last a whole day! I have to charge it every night and it is almost always dead by the time I go to bed. I hope that Fitbit will address these issues.

Thank you. I am having that same issue.

I’m also having the same issue. I haven’t changed anything but it’s dying a lot faster

Well I received an email from fitbit "support"  they don't seem very helpful, telling me to let the battery get low before I charge it...my fitbit has been dead and even after a few minutes of charging it doesn't respond.  I guess, I just spent too much money on a piece of crap!

My Versa is having the same problem but its not even lasting 6 hours. I tried contacting support but was on hold for 20 min and still no answer. I've tried all the things suggested and nothing has changed. I even bought a new charger. So frustrated. My Versa is only a year old.

I’m having a similar problem.  Up until very recently, my Versa Special Edition was lasting 4-5 days, now I’m lucky if I get a full 36 hours before I notice it totally dead.  I’ve turned off call/text/calendar notifications, I don’t have any alarms set, I’ve never used an animated watch face and I’ve only ever used the charger that came with it.

I’m wondering if there’s a link to the new dashboard, as once I clicked yes to it, I began having syncing issues and my battery life just kept dwindling.

The suggestion that this is related to the dashboard is very interesting.

I have upgraded to the new dashboard and having the same issue on my Ionic, there are a number of posts on the other product forums about similar problems.

I wonder how many of the people with battery issues, have started to use the new dashboard.

For reference after talking to customer support I will have been told I need a replacement fitbit.

Has anyone tried resetting to factory settings

I doubt it. I get this standard email every few days, saying the same
thing. I've responded, but it's obvious they don't read your emails.

So everything on this link tried https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2004#extend

Fitbit disconnected from app and phone.

factory reset carried out.

still battery drained in less than 10 hours.

the problem only started after app update and new dashboard enabled; before that battery was lasting 4-5 days.

Fitbit support said it is not software related but a hardware failure.

I talked with customer support and followed all their directions and yesterday my fitbit lasted from 6:30-9:30 before it died. It is only a year old and because the warranty is only good for a year the most they could do for me is a 25% discount off of a new one. I wont be purchasing a new one if that is how they take care of their customers. When this one fully dies i will go with something else. I will also be letting other know how fitbit warranties are and how customers are taken care off. The versa is 200.00 so it should last longer than a year on its battery. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Nothing other than offer me 25% off a new one

I’m lucky, as my Fitbit is still in warranty I’ve been offered a replacement free of charge or 50% off any other Fitbit.

I would still like to know what has caused the problem!

I'm in the same situation.  My versa was purchased in June of 2018.  I had no issues until the update and now the battery won't hold a charge longer than a day.  I've changed all of my setting to extend the battery life and it makes no difference.  They offered me a discount towards a new Fitbit, but the discount is only applicable for 30 days.  Seriously disappointed.
