Versa won't measure distance

Since the new ish update my Fitbit versa lite  (3.18) fails to log and measure distance.  Before the update it was working well.  
I have tried re-setting but still not working.  Can anyone help, please?

Regarding the distance tracking issue that your Fitbit Versa is experiencing, I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they sent you an email with some steps in order to fix this issue. Please reply to their email and they'll be happy to follow up and proceed accordingly.
