In my troubleshooting being unable to sync my Versa with the app, I unpaired it and now it won't reconnect at all and after just a few seconds the app says that pairing times out.
I've restarted my Versa, restarted my phone, restarted Bluetooth, reinstalled the Fitbit app, etc etc., and even followed the Android 9.0 suggestions even though I'm running 8.0 and my settings say there are no updates available.
Super frustrating!

I have the same problem. My Versa is pretty new (12/2019) and it worked until yesterday. Then it stopped talking to my phone. I restarted the Versa - no good. I restarted the bluetooth on the pphone and removed all of the previously connected devices - no good, I restarted my phone, I tried to set the watch up as a new Versa, won't work. It will connect to my PC at home.. And with my tablet. Just not my phone. Frustrating

I have done all of these things.
Restarted phone and versa 2
Turned bluetooth on and off
Disconnected versa 2 from phone
Restarted both multiple times again
Trying to set it up again, it finds the versa 2 then says it can't connect. I've been trying for hours with no success. What do I do?

Can the versa pair with an Amazon fire tablet? I'm having trouble getting them to communicate. The fitbit app loaded but won't sync with the versa. Thanks!

Hi
i am having the same problems, pairing the Versa 2 and syncing, mine is the Samsung S20.
I have followed your steps on restarting the phone, but that has not helped. I have now used my old phone to pair the varsa 2 with that and sync to my account, but how long can i carry on like this?
Do you have any other steps that can be tried?
Many thanks

I have thus problem from time to time still to this day.
When I have this problem I shut off both the phone and versa, turn on versa turn on phone.
With your problem, remove the versa from your old phone, turn off bluetooth, restart the versa and new phone, add versa to new phone

I have literally just opened the box, charged my fit bit and am really disappointed. I am using Samsung galaxy A80 updated to latest version and trying to pair the fitbit versa 2.. I have previously used cheaper smart watches with no problem

I am also having this issue. For the price of these watches, one would think they'd be more reliable. Super frustrating.

Contrary to your assertion that syncing issues are uncommon with Fitbit devices, if you look at the internet you will see that it is a MAJOR concern for many users and seems to be unsolvable by most users even after trying all of the recommended "fixes" . This technology is seriously bugged and needs to be fixed by the manufacturer ASAP. As my watch has worked perfectly , with an iphone 6s, for 12months then inexplicably started not keeping time , I have tried to reset & resync the device using the fitbit recommended techniques only to have the watch rendered TOTALLY useless. I have spent 2days trying every possible solution , but with zero success. Off to buy a new watch now.... wont be a Fitbit!!

I am in total agreement with you as I contacted Fitbit and they did not
give a hoot about me or trying to help me. I had to go get a Galaxy Active.
I still have my Fitbit and want a refund for it. I am not holding my
breath though

fruits. Proverbs 18:21

i have a Samsung J7 star with an operating system 8.0. This exceeds the requirement for synchronization. I have tried all the steps listed on the website. Uninstalled the app, reinstalled, etc.
The phone recognizes the Versa 2 device but i get a message to check the device settings, unable to pair. I also dowloaded the software to my Macbook pro and the laptop did not even recognize the device. The website says a Dongle comes in the box to connect to USB on laptop but no such item was inside the smart watch box. I got the watch through go365 program and would really appreciate if someone from fitbit could contact me. This is totally unacceptable
