Versa won't receive notifications from my phone

Hi, I only bought my Fitbit in December last year but I am starting to become really disappointed by it.

It rarely sends message and phone call notifications from my phone, and when I go on the it's always telling me I need to restart my phone. I have to do this around 4 times a day. It also does not hold its battery life for long at all. I have to charge it every night. Is this normal?

Does anyone else have these issues?

Many thanks.
