Versa won't receive notifications with Xiaomi Mi 10t Pro

I had an iPhone 7 and Versa worked fine with it. No problems. Now I switched to Xiaomi mi 10t pro phone. Versa and phone connect, but I don't receive any notifications on my Versa. It is really annoying.

I have already restarted both devices, uninstalled the app, set the battery to no limits, I have also hard reset my Versa. nothing seem to help. The app and Versa sync, but I get no notifications.

What else can I do?

If your do not disturb and sleep settings on the watch are off, this is most likely a phone setup or Fitbit App issue.

Check the Fitbit App is set up correctly.

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Notifications

And verify the top 4 items are correctly defined.

Also

App notifications

and select any apps you want to hear from.

Check that the notifications appear and stay on the phone and that do not disturb is Off on the phone.

Try with the Fitbit App open on the phone and watch synced and see if you receive a notification on the watch [and phone].

If that works it may be that your Fitbit App is not running in background. In which case try disabling battery saving.

On the phone check battery optimizations

[the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit
  • Next go to Settings > Apps  > Fitbit > Storage
  • Clear cache [not data]
  • Force stop the Fitbit app
