Versa won't reconnect to my phone

Hi hoping somebody can help? I have a Fitbit Versa which was working fine up until two weeks ago. At first I noticed it was losing time, approximately 15 mins every evening and was then taking forever to Sync. After which it would not sync and kept losing Bluetooth connection. After reading on the forums I have tried the following:

unpairing the Bluetooth connection

repairing the Bluetooth connection

deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app

factory reset of watch

now it is just stuck in a never ending cycle of connection screen and it will not sync with any device at all to connect and set up.

device is only just 2 years old and I begrudge purchasing replacement as it should last longer than this.

can anybody suggest any connection tips?
