Versa won't respond to anything

After today's swimming Versa turned off automatically and couldn't start anymore. I have tried press the left and right senior button together but it didn't work. And I tried to charge it but it had no response when it was charging... and I also tried later to press all the 3 buttons together more than 10 seconds. Nothing changed... So what should I do now? Thanks

Same here! Got up this morning and my Versa won’t turn on. Put it on the charger and it was low but not dead. Now it’s at 100% and still won’t turn on. It does seem to be communicating with the app, as it showed my sleep and the 13 steps from my bed to the charger. When I press the left button, I feel a vibration but no clock face. Same when I press and hold left and right buttons 10 seconds (or more).

Hi there @Berlinyang@Ssemple, and @Mahrukh, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa smartwatches are unresponsive, I understand where your concern is coming from. Thanks for the details provided in your posts and for trying to fix your watches' screen prior to posting here.

As a first approach, please you all try or confirm the following:

  1. Check in the Fitbit app if your Versa is still syncing, if so, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process.
  2. Please confirm if you've restarted your watch by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't work, I'd like to know if your watches did vibrate during the restart? If they didn't, please try the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

My versa was operating except for the display (I.e. counting steps, monitoring sleep) and was syncing this morning. However, I just checked and it is no longer connected to the app. The app says last sync at 5:13 pm. However it is no longer responding and no longer vibrates when I press the buttons, as it did this morning.

I put it back on the charger, since it said it was 52% at 5:13. It should not have lost 50% of battery in 5 hours! Anyway, hours later still no life. And I noticed a huge crack across the face, so I guess it’s really dead.

Hi Maria,

I have tried all your suggestions but it still doesn't work... The last Sync was yesterday morning after swimming. So any other suggestion what I could try or do I need to change a new one? Thanks

Hi Maria,

My issue started yesterday when the touch screen wasn't responding on my Versa. I followed the steps to reset, factory restore and change clock face. I updated the tracker software. While updating the tracker software, the screen looked different than normal. A solid white line appeared on the left of the screen. The update loading image had black lines interspersed on the green background instead of the normal solid green that loads as the update progresses.

The app is still syncing with my Versa. When I reset by holding the left and bottom right buttons I can feel a vibration, but the screen does not activate or display anything. The app is acknowledging when I change clock faces, but again this does not activate the screen.

I have followed all the steps to factory reset and change the clock face and clean the charger and no response at all. Was working beautifully up until 11am then suddenly nothing. I have checked and tried several chargers and cleaned the back and pins, still nothing. I feel naked without it. Any other options.

I am having same issue.  Started 2 days ago.  First buttons were not responsive.  Then later in day screen went black.  I thought it needed to be charged.  Charged it but still nothing.   Made sure I had updated software.  Tried changing watch face.  Greenlight working on the back.  Alarm goes off in AM but can't shut it off.  Tried to factory reboot but watch is not responsive and nothing on screen
