Hi @HeatherM1982 - sudden stoppage when it has sufficient battery is often signs of a fault, such as getting moisture in it. Try cleaning the contacts and changing power supply, a PC is a good USB source to use.
Leave it charge the 2 hours and if it gets hot stop immediately. Then try syncing and/or pushing a button to wake it.

Mine too, also 2 years old..black screen now with no response to anything. The last screen that did show was showing yesterday's data.
It's been on the charger overnight (8 hrs), showed 100% briefly then went back to black screen. And I have tried cleaning it.
Thanks

I did have a call with customer service. It’s a shame as the watch is only just over 2 year old and have had zero issues.
It was out of warranty, all they could do for me was give discount on a new watch. My last Fitbit only lasted 2 years as well.
slightly disappointed in the life of the product, especially with no unusual usage.

It seems like this has been happening to a lot of people. The same exact thing happened yesterday with my Versa 2 after almost 2 years. All I got from support was a discount code to buy a new one, which I can't even use on any of the smartwatches as they are on sale. So even if I did buy a new one, the fact that my old one stopped working for absolutely no reason doesn't give me any discount, and I would still have to purchase it at the price of everyone else. Pretty disappointed in the customer service, especially because this issue seems to be affecting so many people. I am definitely considering an Apple Watch instead, as I have had much better experiences with repairs on faulty items and item longevity with Apple.
