Hi there, @Jawin64. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa.

As @SunsetRunner has suggested, please confirm if you have enabled the Fitbit app permissions under Settings of your Android device. If you've done that, please try going to the phone Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions and toggle off "Contacts", then restart your phone and toggle "Contacts" back on.

Also, check that your Fitbit app is up-to-date. For more information, see What's changed in the latest release of the Fitbit app? To download the latest app version, please visit the Google Play Store here.

Hello @Jawin64

Let’s try this..Open your Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture then scroll down and tap Versa. Now scroll down and tap notifications. (If any permission request pop open answer yes) Now while on the same page tap App notifications and check if more permissions are needed to access your calls. Sync your Versa once your finished so your Versa will accept any changes you might have made.

If the problem continues I’d suggest checking  your settings again. I’m not sure if your using an Android or iOS so I post both settings here:

Android User

  • Ensure the Fitbit app runs in the background by going to Apps & Notifications > Fitbit app and turning off Background restrictions or Background limits.
  • Check that the Fitbit app is installed on your phone’s internal storage, not on an external SD card or other storage. The Fitbit app does not consistently work when installed on an SD card.
  • Turn off battery optimization and limitations.
    1. Go to Apps > Fitbit app > Advanced > Battery > Battery optimization.
    2. Change the view to All apps.
    3. Search for the Fitbit app and choose Don’t optimize (or not optimized.)
  • Also check: Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications > Notifications on lock screen and set to Show conversations.

iOS User

  • Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages and turn on Allow Notifications.
  • Then, checkmark Notification Center, Lock Screen, and Banners
  • Change the Shows Previews setting to Always or When Unlocked.
  • Use Banner Style > Persistent (default is temporary.)
  • Repeat for the Fitbit app, the Phone app, Calendar app, and any other app you want to see notifications for on your Fitbit.
  • Finally, confirm that Share System Notifications are on via your phone’s Bluetooth settings > Your Fitbit > System Notifications.

😃 I hope this helps. Please let me know
