Versa won't stay connected to my Huawei standard P20

Bought a Versa on Monday and even though the Standard Huawei P20 is not on the compatible list I took a risk as some people on this community seem to have both and work fine. Set up was smooth and seem to receive all notifications, however whenever my fitbit goes out of the blootooth range with my phone, it doesn't automatically sync again once it's returned back into range. I find myself having to delete the fitbit app and re install and disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth for it to receive notifications again. I was wondering is there a solution to this problem or is it part of the fact that it's not compatible.

Hi, first of all: when you've been put of range of your BT, does you Fitbit app on your phone mention a message about "BT issues". If yes, ignore that ans sync your phone and Versa manually. There also seems to be a fix (cause the problem of Fitbit and Huawei is a BT problem), to fix the problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/fitbit/comments/abk4xh/huawei_sync_fix/. I do not know if this will work cause I do not have a Huawei, but maybe it's worthwile to try it.
