Versa won't stay powered on

I got my Versa at Christmas. Last night, I noticed that it wasn't powered on. I went and plugged it in, and it restarted. However, it only stays on for maybe 30 seconds before it turns off again. It says that it has a 99% charge, even though it was plugged in all night. It turns on when its first plugged into the charger, but if I try to take it off the charger the screen goes black. I've tried to power it on using the buttons, but that doesn't appear to help. Anyone have tips to try?

@m.howard20 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it doesn't stay on after you unplug it from the charger. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains the restart process but you can skip it since you already tried this process before. After those steps, please charge your Versa for 2-3 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

I've been having the same issue, sort of.  The tracker is on, but the display keeps going off.  For instance when I want to check my steps per hour....I can't get the display to stay on long enough to let me see that data.   I have to continually hit the left side button to turn it back on. I've adjusted the time that the display stays on to a full minutes....still goes off after a few seconds.

I purchased my versa at the same time and am having the same issues. It’s happened before and I was able to reset it. This time no such luck. I’ve charged it for the recommended time, check the connections, and made sure the device was clean and dry. I’ve tried several times to restart it. I’ve gone to the help forums and done troubleshooting. It just won’t stay on.

I'm having same issue. Have restarted it numerous times, will charge and turn on but screen goes blank and won't come back. Stayed on long enough once to do restart from Settings menu and still having same issue.
