Versa won't stayed connected to my Huawei P20 Pro

Hi. I started a post weeks ago but it never got resolved. 

My versa won't stay synced. This is my 3rd fitbit so I know the things to try; switch Bluetooth on and off, restart, unpair, uninstall and reinstall the fitbit app etc, but after a day max, it stops syncing. When I get my weekly stats, it looks like I've hardly moved all week! Also, when the watch is exposed to water, it starts going through random functions. After a shower, I could be trying to download music, doing a workout or trying to link to strava. I have a Huawei P20 Pro, which is on the list of supported phones.
