Versa won't sync after low battery, although fully charged again

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Versa less than a week and this is the second time I have had sync issues once the battery runs low. It fails to sync. Even after it is fully charged again it does not sync.

The first time I tried multiple troubleshooting steps and no avail.

Including, turning off and on multiple times, unpairing other bluetooth devices, manual sync, deleting app and re-installing etc

In the end I deleted my fitbit app reinstalled, removed Versa link and restored versa to factory settings and re-paired. This at first wouldn't pair the two, but my second attempt worked.

And as a result I lost two days worth of data 😞

Now again this morning (1.5 days later) it has happened again, it does not sync. I have charged the Versa completely, I have turned off phone and versa and re-started. Unsuccessful.

I have an iphone 6 and phone software is up to date. Fitbit app is also latest version.

I do not want to have to restore factory settings every time battery runs low!!!!

Help!

Hey @DD.R, welcome aboard! So every time the battery of your Versa runs out, it won't sync unless you factory reset your watch and then recharge it, right? This is definitely odd and you shouldn't be doing all of this process to make it sync. In order for you to get further assistance, I have escalated your case to our Support team so they can take a look at it and offer a proper solution, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

Thanks @HeydyF

The battery doesn't completely die, jut critically low then the issues start.

Checked my inbox, no support number as yet?

Thanks again for your help!

Hey @JFlem, it is great to see new faces around! So when the battery level of your Versa is low, it won't sync, right? Is is charging? If so, I suggest you to please fully charged your watch, keep on the battery draining and take a look at the syncing troubleshooting in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

I’ve tried these steps over the last two days, phone was then unable to locate fitbit for multiple hours, then when it did finally recognise it the app was stuck at the locates page with ‘connecting’ running for 3 hours.

It’s been a huge waste of time for no result.

I'm having the same issue! Is there a number i can call rather than waiting days for someone to get back to me?

It’s getting beyond a joke - the watch is useless. It won’t connect, I’ve tried everything support has mentioned multiple times with no successful connection and I’m going on 8 days with a ‘watch’ that isn’t even displaying the correct time because it won’t connect to the app! It’d be easier and far less time consuming to go and purchase a new watch.

I have the exact same problem and I should not have to do those same steps after i charge my watch every single time. Please find a solution to this problem.  This is very frustrating and causes me to lose challenges because I CAN'T SYNC.

I am having the same issue. After battery dying mid-hike...it won’t synch again and won’t update the (red icon battery low) setting. I’m on my second watch.

I had thebsame problem. I finally figured out that when the fitbit came back on after charging it that it was automatically connecting to another device (my iPad’s fitbit app) instead of my iPhone 7plus via bluetooth. The moment I shut the iPad off, the firbit came back up.

Now if I could iust get the SpO2 working everything will be great.

Did anyone recieve a solution to this besides getting a replacement? Every time after I charge my Versa, it won't sync with my phone until I uninstall and reinstall the app.

I realize this is an older thread but I am having the same issue! I got my Versa as an early Christmas gift and I have LOVED it. But in the process of moving this week my watch died. Once it was charged, it would no longer sync to my Samaung Galaxy S9 and the time is way off. I had no issues before. I have done all of the troubleshooting steps and have had no luck. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app, restored the watch to factory settings, disconnected anything bluetooth related, etc. The app says that the watch has no battery power, even though it's fully charged. I've come to rely on my watch so not having it is very frustrating. Is there any sort of resolution yet?

I know this is a pain, but i would just keep trying to uninstall the fitbit app & start again. Eventually it worked. Also, never let your battery fall below 20%. That's when all your problems start! Also, try to get in contact with fitbit so they can have a look on their end...
Good luck!
