Versa won't sync after low battery, although fully charged again

I have had my Versa less than a week and this is the second time I have had sync issues once the battery runs low. It fails to sync. Even after it is fully charged again it does not sync.

The first time I tried multiple troubleshooting steps and no avail.

Including, turning off and on multiple times, unpairing other bluetooth devices, manual sync, deleting app and re-installing etc

In the end I deleted my fitbit app reinstalled, removed Versa link and restored versa to factory settings and re-paired. This at first wouldn't pair the two, but my second attempt worked.

And as a result I lost two days worth of data 😞

Now again this morning (1.5 days later) it has happened again, it does not sync. I have charged the Versa completely, I have turned off phone and versa and re-started. Unsuccessful.

I have an iphone 6 and phone software is up to date. Fitbit app is also latest version.

I do not want to have to restore factory settings every time battery runs low!!!!

Help!

Hi,

How can I get support (or replacement if necessary) for this same problem? The battery went flat a week ago while traveling and despite recharging straight away it hasn't synced since.

Customer care are good, but I’m sick to death of trying to get them to call me back or get an email reply when my watch decides every couple of months to die. I don’t want replacements that die again, I want one that will least!

Somehow, my issue seems to have magically resolved. I've always found their customer support to be pretty responsive and good, but it's been a couple years since I've contacted them.

I do agree that the quality of their products seems to have decreased. I'm a bit disappointed that I have to charge my Versa every 3 days, I upgraded from the Blaze since that battery wasn't lasting very long but this isn't really an improvement .

Same!  What do you think of the Galaxy watch?  The battery doesn't last as long as I'd hoped and some of the functions are a bit muddy to me.

Hey,
I tried a few different things, I can't remember exactly what worked but I
think it was removing the device pairing from the phone, uninstalling and
reinstalling the app and then syncing them again.
Good luck! And I hope Fitbit fix this problem soon!

I am having the same problem. Every time I charge my fitbit versa2, it will not sync the next day. This is extremely frustrating! I have to factory reset it EVERY TIME I charge it. I'm about ready to return it. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8. I follow all the suggestions to no avail.

Hi All,

I have this same exact problem every now and then if Fitbit goes flat. I finally figured out the solution. I have a Samsung S8+ and I find that if I switch my phone off then back on then synchronize the problem is resolved. So not sure if it is an app issue or an issue with Android.

But once I do this all is good.

I have the same issue,  using Android pixel 3, had to forgot blue tooth connection, and then uninstall app, reinstall app.

Tried rebooting everything with no luck, and determined   forgetting the blueublue toothttooth connection , and then uninstalling and re installing app worked. I don't let it get below 20% often, but occasionally life gets in the  way and every time it does I have to go through this, but only in last month or so, hasn't always been this way to my knowledge. Android did recently force an update just before issue started so may be related to what version Android is and also whether app is updated or not. Will confirm Fitbit  app is updated next time it happens

Try to go into Bluetooth settings and forget the device,,( in the Fitbit app and in phone's blue tooth settings, uninstall the app, reboot watch and phone, re install app, then in app try to add device, I also went in and added device to Bluetooth devices. Was a pain but so far that process has worked. It may be result of an update. Are you on Android, apple or windows phone?
