Versa won't sync with my Samsung Note 8

I've had my Versa since Saturday and I does not want to sync with my Samsung Note 8. I have done the soft reset, factory reset, uninstalled the app and reinstalled, restarted my phone and turn the Bluetooth off and on and it still wont work. Should I return it?

It definitely was my phone. I got the Samsung Galaxy watch and it is working fine. I heard this might be fixed now.

Hello!

I have a solution that worked for me and posting it for others to try. I deleted all of my previous fitbit devices from my mobile app and it worked! May work for you all, too.

I was really kicking myself for not doing more research before buying my Versa, as it appears that the device doesn't work well with the Note 8. It wouldn't sync steps and I couldn't receive notifications on my watch from my phone. I had a very annoyed first day with my Versa. The next morning I noticed my fitbit app was trying to sync with my One, a device I hadn't used in years. Deleted that and also deleted the Flex 2 the Versa was replacing.

Stayed on the phone over an hour with tech services to be told Samsung Note 8 is not compatible but IS listed as compatible device on website.   Had a Versa which worked great for 6 months then the battery stopped holding a charge.  The replacement will not pair nor sync  & it is apparently trash at this point.   The company will not offer any real help. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Supervisor didn't really care what I thought.

Yes! The same exact thing is happening to me. Extremely disappointed. I have had a fitbit for over 5 years!!

I figured it out after reading quite a few posts. You can't have any other
devices list in the Fitbit app. Once I deleted my Charge, everything
started working. Hope this helps!

What's weird is my Bluetooth is now acting up. It doesn't even seem to see
my Versa anymore. This is just irritating. I have had the Versa and my
Samsung Note 8 since May of this year and this just started to happen. I
have only had the Versa for 9 months.

I had a customer rep for FITBIT tell me the Galaxy note 8 is not "completely" compatible with the FITBIT Versa.

The all the other Note editions or versions are "just not the note 8" no further expatiation was able to be given.

I have a Samsung Galaxy note 8 and have had several issues as well, not syncing, not getting notifications, Alexa disconnecting.  I ended up returning and went back to my HR Charge 3, with which I have not problems.  Hopefully FitBit will do some sort of software/firmware to improve.   Not going to out a buy a new phone to the cost of $1,000 or more just to be able to have the Versa 2 work.

It was working great earlier for me in May/June, then it just stopped 😞 That's when I learned Note 8 was not compatible.
