Versa won't take a charge or turn on

My versa's battery seems to be bulging. The battery drained and turned off. It now won't charge or turn on. The device is 15 Month's old, so I don't  think it covered by warranty. Any suggestions?

@Bethlovespink, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the battery seems to be bulging and it won't take a charge. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like to know if your Fitbit Versa vibrates when you put it on the charger.

In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if it comes back to life.

Regarding your inquiry about the warranty, please visit this page.

Keep me posted! 😀

I have the same problem. Wonder what to do? My versa doesn’t turn on or vibrate or charge and the battery seems bulging a bit.

  • I have the problem, charger is doing nothing seems completely dead. I bought in Australia . It’s a Fitbit versa. I only bought 5 months ago . But now I am overseas in Bali . So cannot return to JB Hifi . Shame because I loved it. Unsure about buying another.

I contacted fitbit directly, as the retailer wasn't able/willing to assist.
I initially sent photos, then they asked me to return the fitbit and they
sent me a replacement. It took several emails back and forth, and some time
however they did replace it for me. (It was also a few months over the 12
month warranty period) I was grateful and happy with the service.
