Versa won't track my sleep data anymore

Hi,

My versa is only tracking the basic sleep. It says how long I've been asleep but that's it. I don't get a sleep score. I've had a look and this has been going on for 9 weeks now. I noticed that randomly it'll work for a night or so and then it stops. I've switched heart rate on and off and tried switching off my tracker.

I've had it since 2019. Is it time for a new one? 😔

Hi there, @kimmi_baby. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

As a first approach, please take the following information into consideration to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

I've followed all the steps. The only thing I don't select begin sleep. I never used to do that and it always tracked my sleep. Is this something we have to do now for it to work?

Mine just stopped too. I think it's the update, not the device. I think I am going to cancel my premium subscription.

Mine has stopped giving a sleep score, also.

Help.

Mine has also stopped tracking sleep since the update. It took forever for it to give me correct step data yesterday but I then I noticed the sleep was off and so was my exercise for the day,

My Fitbit has also stopped tracking my sleep.  It used to do it randomly but now I've had several days in a row with no score.

Since there are multiple people in this post saying they have the same issue, is it safe to say there's something wrong with the software? Can this please be looked into? I'm wanting to get a new fitness watch and I don't want to invest in fitbit again if this is going to be a continued issue.
