Versa won't turn on after Factory Settings

Hi. I've got a Fitbit Versa. I have reset my device to the factory settings as it wasn't syncing after I got a new phone. I am now struggling to get it to switch back on. I have tried to charge it several hours and pressed the two buttons as advised but I have had no luck. Anyone that will be able to help please?

hi, try to switch your Versa on by long pressing only the left button untill you see the Fitbit logo appearing. Might also be when this works that you do not get the Fitbit logo, but the activity screen in which you can set you screen to switch on automatically, etc.

@CarynMeyer Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it won't turn on after restarting it and trying the factory reset.

I'd like you to try cleaning the contacts of your Versa and charging cable with a cotton swab. This will remove any dust that the contacts accumulate. After this, charge your tracker for 2-3 hours and see if the display comes back to life.

Thank you for your help @SunsetRunner!

I reset my Fitbit Versa back to factory settings and now it will not sync.  The message says 'data not cleared - try to sync again.'  I cannot get the message to clear.  The Bluetooth is on my phone and paired.  How do I get it to reset?  Pressing the buttons will not  go back to Fitbit home screen.

Thank you

Hi @bjbenz, thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community. Let me help you with your Fitbit Versa since it shows a "Data not cleared" message. I understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know if the factory reset was performed as described below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Set up your watch from scratch and see if it connects with your phone's Bluetooth properly.

Let me know how it goes.
