Versa won't turn on after a Factory Reset

OK...so I've had this Versa for over a year (for the warranty question).  This is my 5th fitbit product, so I'm pretty versatile in the fitbit products.  Since the most recent update (I think about a month ago or so...can't remember when), my Versa has been just turning off on it's own and not turning back on until I do the 2 button (left and bottom right) press.  I've looked through all these posts and google searches...I've tried re-syncing, turning it off/on, verifying all settings, and everything else people suggested without success.  Finally, today I did a factory reset. I now cannot turn it back on.  Tried the 3 button push and the 2 button push for various time intervals on each.  I know it's charged - it was 65% when I did the reset. Tried letting it sit in the charger for an hour...nope...nothing.

I don't know what else to do.  I've tried everything that everyone has suggested.

Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about your Versa 's recent behavior. I appreciate the details shared in your post and for taking the time to troubleshoot it prior to posting here, I'll do my best to help you.

While reading your posts, I wondered if your watch vibrates when you put it on the charger? It seems that the Factory Reset drained the battery and also looks like the battery may not be charging properly and therefore does not turn on. So, I recommend that you follow these steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hi MarreFitbit.

I have a Versa not the lite.  I have tried troubleshooting the charging potentials.  It does not vibrate when I put it on the charger.  The connection points on both side are good and clean - I've checked and cleaned already.  It was on the charger today for 7hrs...no change.

Hi there @SunsetRunner, thanks for getting back. I updated my previous post, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I appreciate you've taken the time to follow the tips and recommendations I provided. Since none of the steps you tried have worked, I've created a case to get you in contact with our Support Team about this. They will be able to work with you and review your options. Please keep a lookout in your inbox to the email address associated with this Fitbit account. Someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible since our support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual.
