Versa won't turn on after a factory reset

I did a factory reset for my fitbit versa and tried all the ways to turn it back on but it still showed black screen. I had tried to charge it, then press left with right botton button then tried to press all 3 buttons but it still won't on. Any ways to turn my fitbit versa on. ☹️

I have similar issue. My Fitbit Versa suddenly stopped working. It's only been a year when I purchased from costco. I am really disappointed. I tried to do factory resetting, charging again and tried other options mentioned in community forum. But No luck. I don’t know what to do with this. Please help.

Hi there @Suannne and @dungaro, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa smartwatches aren't turning on after a factory reset. Thanks for troubleshooting them prior to posting here, I'll be glad to help you both.

While reading your posts, I wondered if your watch vibrates when you put it on the charger? The battery on your watches may not be charging properly and therefore does not turn on or even is causing a battery drain. I recommend that you follow these steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted, I'll be around.

I did all of that and it is still not turning on. I just received it as a Christmas gift and it was 96% charged before I did the factory reset due to it not syncing.

I am having the same issue. I did a factory reset and now my fitbit won't turn on. It is just a black screen. Nothing happens when I push the buttons. I have left it on the charger for hours. It doesn't vibrate when I put it on the charger and I even tried to clean the charger and fitbit. I just bought mine in like March.

This must be a bigger issue lately.  I have the same issue after a factory reset and battery was full versa no longer turns on.  I did the reset because the heart rate sensor didn't seems to be working.  I performed all the troubleshooting as others have.  Anyone have any luck getting it turned on again?

Yes I have completed those steps.  Also since the factory reset nothing happens when I attach the Versa to the charger.  I tried connecting to computer USB as well and my computer repeatedly shows the Versa connecting and disconnecting.
