Versa won't turn on after factory reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just did a factory reset on my watch because it stop tracking my sleep and it started to restart itself.  I  thought if I did this it may fix itself. I have read the different ways to try to turn the watch on but none of them are working.   Any other ideas on how to start the watch. The watch is just about a year old now.

Thanks

@Pbautista Try plugging the watch for an hour to charging dock and then rebooting by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears. If this does not help try holding all buttons together until logo appears (this make take up to 3 min).

@Pbautista Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since t won't turn after trying a factory reset.

I'd just like to know if the issue persists or if it got resolved after following the great troubleshooting steps that shared @Marrrmaduke.

In addition, I'd like you to follow the troubleshooting steps listed in this help article. This article also contains the restart process but you can skip it since you already tried it. After this, charge your Versa for 2-3 hours and see if it gets back to life.

Keep @Marrrmaduke and me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

I also faced this today.Versa won't sync and restarted frequently. To solve it, eventually had to Factory Reset it. Since, then Versa won't start. Tried calling Customer Support. Gist of that talk came out to be since it is not in warranty (which exhausted last month only), there is nothing they could do and I would have to buy a new one.
Very annoying. The watch self-destructed because I executed a option provided by the Fitbit and I have to suffer because of that.

@dved, I apologize for the delayed response. I'm also sorry to hear that your Versa couldn't be fixed and it's no longer under warranty. The warranty period is good for 365 days, starting from the date of first setup.

I totally understand how you feel about this and we appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if any question arises.

@JuanJoFitbit

Thank you for the reply.

However, sorry to disappoint you but that does not solve my issue.

As you are reading in this forum, this is a major issue in Fitbit OS and people regardless of purchase date are facing this. In light of that, it is only reasonable for me to ask for replacement / repair even if my watch is out of warranty.

Fitbit cannot just ruin my watch and put my money down the drain only because the watch out lived the warranty period. Is that too complex to comprehend?

Thank  you.

Were you ever able to get your Fitbit repaired? If so, how much did it cost?

No. Apparently, they don't have mechanisms in place to fix their own products !

Only option is to buy a new one. They might offer you some discount on it if you chase customer support.
