Versa won't turn on after factory reset.

A few days ago i noticed that the green blinking lights on the back of my Versa watch were not on so it was not detecting my hr. I turned it off and back on and nothing. I looked online and several people were having the same issue and i saw that there was a respinse from fitbit suggesting a factory reset. I tried that and as soon as i clicked on factory reset my watch turned off. It was fully charged (98%) when i did this and now the screen is completely black. Ive tried pushing the three buttons to turn it on for several minutes at a time and nothing. Ive tried leaving it to charge for a full day and nothing. This is very frustrating.

Too little, too late.
They've ignored this thread, they haven't acknowledged a problem, and I've
got myself a $25 "Heroband3" which does everything I want (including blood
pressure!)

I've done the same thing after my Fitbit stopped working at 5.30am. I did all the troubleshooting solutions, and I've now factory reset. My phone couldn't detect my versa even thought it was right next to it. Was told to try a factory reset to no avail. It can't find my Fitbit. I've got a different handset to try (new Samsung handset) and that phone couldn't find my Fitbit. After leaving it till the next day to try, my watch won't turn on. I've only had the watch for 15 months, and I'm very disappointed that it's stopped working. And looking at the community posts, it's a very common problem. For something that costs a fair bit of money (Expensive for someone on minimum wage) I shouldn't have to deal with something so unreliable. I feel ripped off

I now have a Kmart version for $29 does more then my Fitbit ever did.

Yep the company’s lack of care made me give up and throw my Fitbit in the trash can.
kmart have a Aniko watch that does more then my Fitbit versa done and all for just $29.
it is a disgrace so many people are complaining of the same or near close issues and no acknowledgement has been given.
neber will I purchase anything Fitbit again 🤯

Is there another name for your KMart brand? I tried to find it online and couldn't find anything by that name??

Does the amazon watch do the exact things the FitBit does? Sleep tracking etc?

Tracking my sleep is really important as I always have a lack of energy. Also, is this available worldwide? I'm from UK, and we don't have Kmarts or a good cheap version of a FitBit

I reckon it would do the same thing. Even eBay has cheap watches that track everything the Fitbit does and more for like $19 Australian dollars. It’s so worth taking the risk when they are so cheap. Just read the details or specifications on the product you look at...

do you have cheap department stores over there that have general home wares and electronics. If so have a look in them you may find these watches in there cheap.
hope I helped

No I think Kmart may be an Australian brand. A post above from Jogger has a link to the Amazon watch he purchased

I swore off fitbit a couple years ago after a Blaze died after only a year of gentle use.

My wife bought a Versa and used it w/o issue for 1.5 years. She got a good deal on an Apple watch so I thought I'd use the Versa. Factory reset, then DEAD!

Did everything with the buttons. When I put it on a charger I see it draws power with a USB power meter I have so I know it's charging the battery, then the power meter shows no amps drawn indicating the Versa is fully charged.

These are overpriced garbage. Stay away! I'll go back to my 30 year-old Casio g-shock that still runs like a clock (teehee). My 5.5 year old Galaxy S6 that's been beat up counts my steps just fine. Maybe I'll look into the Samsung watch if I need a smart watch.

Mine went totally dead. Just ordered a Garmin Venu, hopefully it will be good and last longer than 1 year!!

Update: the Garmin Venu Sq. Music seems awesome so far. Does everything and more as the Versa!

I'm also having the same issue. I left it on charger over night and nothing. Just a black screen. Tried holding down button to reset and nothing. No vibration when connected to charger. Help.

Don't know what to tell you. I gave up after reading so many complaints about the same problem and Fitbit not even acknowledging a problem! As I said I've moved on to a Garmin and so far (only 1 week) I love it.

My fitbit vibrates when I put it on the charger, yet the screen is either dark or slightly lighter yet still blank. The green lights on the back still haven’t returned after I factory reset.

Hi. I am having the same problem. My Fitbit was working perfectly when I went to bed last night, I changed the mode to dim and manual but since  I woke up this morning it won’t turn on.
The app says it’s fully charged.
I tried the factory reset per the online articles. It is vibrating and the lights on the back turn on but nothing is appearing on the watch face.
Please Help me!  I am very attached to my Fitbit. In almost 10 years and 3 devices this is the first time I am having this problem.
Thanks in advance.

I have just found my Fitbit versa 2, out of curiosity I charged her up, re-loaded the app on my phone and ca- bang working so far like nothing ever was wrong before 🤷‍:female_sign:🤷‍:female_sign:. Fingers crossed it stays this way. Up until I done a update over 12 months ago it has been blank and not even turning on. Now like nothing was ever wrong with the app re-Installed.
May I suggest deleting app on phone and re loading it. Set watch up again like a new device and it should be ok. Worth a try

I’m having the same issue!
Help!!
I did a factory reset for my Fitbit Versa but now it won’t turn on. It was working fine before hand so I didn’t know why it’s not turning on.
Any help or tips.
-it’s been charging for some time now so it can’t be dead.

Definitely a waste of money, if it’s only going to work a couple of months then completely shut down!

Mine was barely 12 months old. It was still under warranty(?) I called Fitbit CS and I was given the option of a replacement pebble or money off voucher for another watch.... I chose the pebble, it was a nightmare choosing this one, let alone thinking of getting another watch
